The gated community of The Retreat lies secluded behind a heavy veil of untamed conservation land thick with pine, oak and palmetto, and nestles the sugar white shores of the Gulf of Mexico and Draper Lake, one of South Walton's rare, naturally occurring coastal dune lakes.
